How is MC Hammer like a book coach?

Because he believes you are too legit to quit.

I can hear you saying, “Amy, last week you cried when you got rejection #20 on your flash memoir, and this week you’re saying you’re too legit to quit?

Yep.

And you are too.

The “2 Legit 2 Quit” video (the full 15 minute version) is about a musician who quits the music business (presumably because it’s hard and filled with challenges and challengers) but changes his mind after getting a boost from fans and idols, realizing he has something special only he can offer.

(Don’t believe me? Here’s the proof!)

What MC Hammer tells us in this song is that you have to go for your dreams. You may start from scratch but you keep going until you lead the way. Even when others tell you no. Even when it feels like the goal is too far away to be attainable. You get there because you didn’t quit.

So how do you go for your dream of writing a book? You turn to someone with experience and expertise. In the video, James Brown fulfills this role for MC Hammer – but instead of imbuing you with magical powers, a book coach:

  1. Holds you accountable to your own goals and a timeline. So you don’t put it off or flounder.

  2. Has a proven process so that you save time and frustration.

  3. Has industry and marketplace knowledge to help you figure out where you want to be.

  4. Builds your confidence and your skills.

  5. Is there for you throughout the whole creative process. Start to finish. So you don’t have to do it alone.

I’m your MC Hammer, and you’re too legit to quit. Let’s get you confidently writing your impactful book.
