I Have an Idea, But Is It a Book?

You know that book you’ve always wanted to write…

…but felt intimidated, unqualified, or unsure if your idea could even be a book?

I’ve got just the thing.

This package is for you if:

  • You’ve always wanted to write a book

  • You have a great idea – or many – and don’t know how to sort through and prioritize

  • You don’t know how to start, or are afraid you won’t finish

  • You have hit a block or don’t know what to do next

Do you wonder if you have a book in you?

I will help you will develop your book idea into a clear, organized, structured summary and plan for writing forward.

This process is designed to help aspiring authors like you finally get clarity and get going on your book.

Your investment for the tool, four coaching sessions, three rounds of actionable feedback and editing, and plan for your next steps, is $750.

In four sessions you will shape your swirl of your ideas into crystal clarity about your book. Here’s how it works:

  • We start with a Zoom call where we dig into the Aboutness tool I provide, how to use it, and your first steps to take.

  • You will receive three rounds of written and verbal feedback on three drafts of your Aboutness document.

  • We will have three Zoom calls to evolve and iterate your document to get it to its best form so you can keep moving forward on your book.

  • You will come away with a document that is the foundation on which you will build your book and/or your proposal.

Together, we will work on:

  • What one solid and clear central idea encapsulates what you want to say with this project (and which ideas can be saved for later).

  • Who will be best served by reading it.

  • What content best serves – and delights – your readers.

  • Which structure and organization best serves your work.

  • What is the best route among the options in the publishing landscape so you can choose what’s best for your unique goals and needs.

What you get when we work together:

  • Know exactly what you need to work on and when – no guessing or overwhelm!

  • Learn the relevant skills and techniques you need to be successful along the way,

  • Get email support from me in between calls if you have questions on the process or your progress – you are not alone as you do this work!

  • Acquire a deep understanding of the process so you can leverage it for future projects,

  • Feel accomplishment, confidence, motivation, direction, and clarity.

Imagine if…

  • You finally felt confident starting your book

  • You could clearly envision what your book was about and who it was for

  • You know you are the only person who could write this particular book

  • You had a document that was the foundation for your book (or your book proposal) and the roadmap to write it

Ready to finally start your book?

Yes, you are.

Don’t just take my word for it!

  • I'm accustomed to writing short forms. Writing a book is a different story! Amy created the accountability and guidance to do something I'd always wanted to do but had been too intimidated to attempt.

  • A huge step up in confidence. Which came from working with you, through the coaching sessions and the homework assigned, but more importantly also offline.

    — Nirupa Umapathy, Memoir/Essay Writer

  • If I didn't have some accountability and structure for writing this book, I would likely put it off inevitably. The structured approach is so helpful!!
