Quarterly Goal Call!

Here we are, the first of the month, the first day of a new quarter!

How did your Q2 go?

Looking back at my Q2, I certainly didn’t do every single thing I put in my Q2 to-dos, but I did a lot!

Business:

Novel:

  • Did some preliminary work that’s exciting; encountered some stumbling blocks that are making me pause and rethink and read, read, read

Memoir:

  • Final submissions

  • Investigate hybrid & self publishing options

For Q3, the plan is as follows:

Business:

  • Pitch media

  • Promote existing products and services

  • Nurture collaborations

  • Develop a few new things from the map

Novel:

  • Play with what kind of book this is and outline

Memoir:

  • Stay the course

What I see from Q2 to Q3 is that big goals are accomplished in small steps. And for the most part, big things can’t be finished in only one quarter. I do see that wrestling with big goals is a worthwhile endeavor, because the wrestling helps break it down, and breaking things down is how they get done. I’m glad Q2 was a little messy because Q3 feels more clear as a result.
